The Website Is Live

Today the website for Notice it... don't feed it officially went live.

It's a small milestone.

But it brought up some interesting things to notice.

As I worked on it, there were plenty of thoughts.

"Should I change that?" "Maybe the wording isn't right." "What if people don't like it?" "What if I look silly?" "What if nobody visits it?"

There was also the temptation to make everything perfect before letting anyone see it.

To polish every sentence.

To present myself as someone who has everything figured out.

To appear more knowledgeable, more successful, or more certain than I actually am.

But when I looked more closely, I realised those thoughts were no different to any others.

They appeared.

They brought feelings with them.

And they invited me to follow them.

This time, I noticed them.

Not perfectly.

Not all at once.

But enough to see that I didn't need to give them control over what happened next.

The website didn't need to be perfect.

It just needed to be live.

One thing that surprised me was how different the building process felt.

In the past, creating a website seemed overwhelming.

The design. The wording. The structure. The technology.

All of it felt like a lot.

But this time, I found myself simply describing what I wanted and watching it slowly come together.

There was still uncertainty.

Still doubt.

Still the urge to keep adjusting.

But the same pattern was there again.

Perfectionism. Fear of judgement. The urge to hold back.

And then noticing it.

Not feeding it.

And letting something imperfect become real.

Notice it... don't feed it.
